Earth To COP

The film is also available with British Sign Language (BSL).

COP might be the most important thing you’ve never heard of.

So, what is it?

Well, it stands for ‘Conference of the Parties’. But that’s what it’s called, not what it is.

COP brings governments from around the world together in one room. The first COP was in 1995 and this one is COP26.

It’s the most important meeting in the world.

Why? Because it’s all about fixing the climate crisis. When world leaders meet at COP, they talk about nothing else. And the decisions they take will determine the future of our planet – for better or worse.

If more people know and care about COP, we can make sure that future is better and not worse. But we need our leaders to know that we’re watching. We need them to know that we expect decisive action to save our planet.

At COP26 in Glasgow, we showed this film to world leaders before the meeting began.

In a universe of unimaginable size, our planet is unparalleled in its beauty. This film is a portrait of Earth in all its glory.

But the film also documents the truth about our home today. A planet enraged. Disasters that have become more frequent and more ferocious. Fires. Floods. Storms. Droughts.

Earth is sending a message that we must not ignore. And we all have a vital role to play.

So share this film. Tag your leader. Tag your friends. Tag COP26.

Send a message to the most important meeting in the history of the planet. Show them we’re watching.

Our future depends on it.

This is Earth To COP.

The Earth To COP film was independently produced by Harder Than You Think and is a partnership with Bloomberg L.P. The film was shown at the opening ceremony of COP26, which was independently produced by Harder Than You Think after an invitation from the UK Government.
